Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born November 18, 1985, in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister in the Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix realized early on that she had an aptitude to run when she was a student at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Within a short time after her initial attempt, she was second in the 200 meters race of the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix has graduated from high school in 2003 signed an agreement with Adidas. After that, she went to the University of Southern California and pursued a degree in elementary education. A year later Felix won her very first Olympic medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens Greece setting a junior world record by sprinting 200 meters at 22.18 seconds. The 2005 Helsinki World Championships saw her become the youngest woman to be crowned the winner of the 200-meter race. In 2007, she won this title and beat her Jamaican competitor Veronica Campbell. Felix took part at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and has consistently ranked in the top three of athletes in her respective events.
