Evan Rachel Wood

Evan Rachel Wood was born September 7, 1987, in Raleigh, North Carolina. Her father, Ira David Wood III is a theater actor writer and director and her mother, Sara Wood, is an actress as well as acting coach. She has two brothers: Dana Wood, a musician, and Ira David Wood IV, who also has acted. Evan and her brothers sometimes appeared at Theatre In The Park in Raleigh the company her father founded and where the director is executive. At the age of five, she auditioned for the part in Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994). Along with her mom and brother Ira the family moved to Los Angeles in 1996. Since then, she has enjoyed successes in TV series as well as movies on TV and feature films. She starred as Tracy in Practical Magic (1998) and also in S1m0ne (2002 the child of Al Pacino). Holly Hunter followed with Thirteen (2004). Her character of Tracy in "Thirteen," which she was a part of, earned her a nomination at the Golden Globes for Best Performance by an Actress: Drama, and a nomination from the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance By a Female Actor In a Leading Role. When she received the award from SAG and was the most youthful actress to be nominated in the Leading Role category. Her role in the role of Veda Pierce in the HBO mini-series Mildred Pierce (2011) was rewarded with an Emmy nomination as well as the Golden Globe award. Acclaim was also awarded for her role as Stephanie (Mickey Rourke's estranged daughter) in Darren Aronofsky's The Wrestler (2008). She is the daughter of Sara Wood and Ira David Wood III. Ira David Wood IV's younger sister and Dana Wood's younger sister. Dancer. She loves to sing, swim as well as rollerblade. She also enjoys on horseback. She is a black belt in tae-kwon do. She's been in contact for the majority of her Once and Again (1999) and castmates: Mischa Barrton, Julia Whelan and Shane West.
